Modified Metro Bag!

I used Tanya Whelan's Metro Bag pattern and modified it slightly and ended up with this great bag to give to my sister-in-law!
I love the size of the bag!
Edie at St. Croix County Dry Goods in Hudson had the perfect vintage button to go with the fabrics (that she helped pick out)!

Monterey Market Bag

What do you do to satisfy your creative itch?

This is what I did . . .

Downloaded the Monterey Market bag pattern by Tanya Whelan. . .

Used up some scrap fabric. . .

Made a simple, cute, practical, reversible bag!

Grandma's Day

Here is the beautiful lady who inspired me to make a purse:
She said that if we went to church with her on Mother's Day then we wouldn't have to go to her funeral!  She had several pews full of children, grandchildren and great-grand children.
Here are some photo highlights.

(Notice the outfit on my niece!)

Grandma's Bag

My awesome teacher helped me make my first bag!  I gave it to Grandma for Mother's Day.

This is the front:
(the blue is a big pocket)

This is the back:

It is lined in white with pink polk-a-dots.

Thanks to Aunt Nellie for the pictures!

Birthday Gift

A super twirly skirt:

An embellished T:

Shoes, hand-painted by Sophia, and ribbon for laces:

It looks even cuter on my sweet niece!
(She had so much fun twirling!)

Mish Mash Skirt

My first "solo" sewing project! It's the Mish Mash skirt by Pink Fig.
It has a super poofy under skirt edged in tulle.

Here it is on my model:

My first Sewing Project

Everyone should have a friend who is patient enough with you to teach you how to sew (and allow you to change your mind several times about which fabrics to use!)
